Is Physiotherapy covered by Medicare?
Some people with chronic conditions or complex health needs may be eligible for up to 5 physiotherapy sessions per year under a Medicare Care Plan. You should talk to your GP about whether you are eligible. Medicare rebates are currently $56.00 which does not cover the full cost of a consultation. We charge you as a private patient and payment is expected on the day. We then submit your claim to Medicare electronically who deposit the rebate into your account within 24 hours. We do have some appointments available with a graduate Physiotherapist with no out of pocket expense so please ask reception about these when you call. If you wish to see a Senior Physiotherapist there will be a gap.
Are there discounts for concession card holders?
We offer a $10 discount per appointment to health care card and pension card holders. Cards must be shown to reception.
